I feed my dogs Nature’s Recipe, it doesn’t hurt to switch, it doesn’t contain any soy [bad, contains aluminum from processing], wheat, gluten or other by products & is manufactured in the USA. It is a venison & rice blend. Nearly all the foods contain this, I don’t trust buying those on the list. Type in "dog food recall" in your search engine & you will get the list, I don’t trust the FDA either, they are for big business profits rather than the health of our animals, then they try to turn out to be the heros, look how many people have died from the drug Vioxx, over 10,000, that was approved by the FDA, you would think the pet food industries would quit putting diseased animal parts in their foods. They rather eat our food, & we have switched to organic, I also give them vitamin supplements, glucosamine for their joints & glutamine to keep their muscles strong, they are a large breed, as in the processing of any food neutrients are depleted. I hope this helps. It is a sad day for alot of people when they loose their pet, if you run out of their food try the Nature’s Recipe, or boil brown rice & ground beef together or separate, yes, boil the ground meat, this stops any diarhrea, [spell check won't work] too & is a nice change from the norm, organic if finances allow it. Green beans are also filling for them & are reasonably inexpensive, they lose weight on green beans, toss in some bacon grease! Yummy! I love it when I see them smile! You can also take the remaining bag back to the store, & get a credit for another brand.
