Tony Williams Hurricane Of Independence
Tea to feature author Tony Williams
The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia will offer a theme tea on Wednesday, June 22, at 1 p.m., at the historic Magnolia Grange plantation house museum. Historian and author Tony Williams will be the featured guest. Williams is the author of “The Pox and the Covenant: Mather, Franklin and the Epidemic that Changed America’s Destiny” as well as “Hurricane of Independence: The Untold Story of the Deadly Storm at the Deciding
Moment of the American Revolution.” Williams is a history professor at the College of William & Mary. Copies of Williams’ books will be available for purchase and autographs.
The cost is $25 per person, and reservations are required. Tea, finger sandwiches and desserts will be served, and the Magnolia Grange gift shop will be open.
