The following public works projects may affect traffic in Visalia and surrounding areas:Drive from the city of Tula to Caldwell Avenue in Visalia-Demaree: heavy traffic is expected during road reconstruction on this popular route between Tulare Visalia 7:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday 31 August.
-198 Strap closures continue: There will be alternating lane closures of Noble Avenue to Watson Street, with lane closures on Highway 198 and Watson Downtown Visalia exit ramp.
Construction crews will do electrical work as part of a project to change the borders and the Americans to install curb ramps disability law.
This week: Alternating lanes on Noble Avenue closed 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
To the north and south of Watson, one lane will be closed 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Route 198 east exit ramp to Downtown Visalia may close Monday through Friday 9:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Closing hours vary.245-The Road to Woodlake: There will be a scheduled operation control one-way traffic on Highway 245 in Woodlake Highway 198 to Highway 201 for paving repairs.
This week: Route 245 will be reduced to one lane from Monday to Friday 6:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Construction crews will make one-way traffic control using a pilot vehicle to escort vehicles.
Closing hours vary. -Walnut and Mooney: There will be work on the intersection of Walnut and Mooney. The expansion project will continue with a major disruption of traffic.
This week: The right lane westbound on Walnut between Central and Yale avenues will remain closed.
To the south, Main Street will be reduced to one lane that will manage all the movements at the intersection of nuts.
Only half of the approach between the training materials Orchard Supply and In-N-Out parking will be open. There will be a "single gateway" on Walnut Avenue and "No Exit" sign on the side parking. Vehicles are to use the exit Mooney Boulevard.
Pedestrians will be directed to walk on the south side of Walnut and Mooney west of the north side of Walnut is the Mooney.
